The Grovedale Tigers Football Netball Club vision is to be the Number One Community Sporting Club of Choice, known for our professional and inclusive culture, welcoming atmosphere and the way we respect and care for each other.

More than 1000 people visit our club each week, not only to participate and watch live sport but also to be involved in various community and club events.  Our active past players group and strong volunteer base ensures the club is professionally & efficiently managed.

Located in the heart of Grovedale, we are part of a central sporting hub that includes the Grovedale Tennis Club, Grovedale Cricket Club and Grovedale College Sports Academy Program.  

 

We have a long and proud history, with our teams competing in the Geelong Football & Netball League under the AFL Barwon banner, one of the top ranked leagues in Victoria.  Our club facilitates over 600 players taking the court/field each week in netball and football teams in all age groups from U9-U19, through to seniors. We also run successful Auskick and Net Set Go programs and have a strong women’s football program with two senior teams and numerous junior female teams.

 

We receive no government funding and we rely on a small, but dedicated group of volunteers to undertake all the activities associated with the enormous task of getting these players out onto the field and the court each week.  We know that sport and recreation helps to build communities through social inclusion and a sense of connection to a community and we work hard to ensure that our club helps to facilitate this.

 

We pride ourselves on being a community club and are proud that through our hard work, young people have the opportunity to establish new friendships, learn the value of teamwork and respect for coaches and officials. Skills and attributes that are not only relevant for sports, but also incredibly important life skills.

2024 was a successful year with our Senior Women winning the Div 1 Premiership & both our U18 Colts teams winning Premierships With many of our Colts moving up to play senior football, we are extremely excited to see what the future holds for our club.
